Cabinet Scan scans paper documents with your iPhone, reads them on device, proposes a file name and a short summary, and shares the result as a PDF. You can also import an existing PDF or share one into the app from Mail, Safari, or Files.
The scanner doesn’t open. Document scanning needs a physical iPhone with a camera and camera permission. Check Settings → Cabinet Scan → Camera.
Do my documents leave my device? No — by default everything is processed on device. The only exception is the optional “Use AI analysis” setting, which sends the recognized text of a document (never the scan images) to Cabinet Scan’s own analysis service, hosted in the EU. It is off by default. See the Privacy Policy.
Where are my saved scans? In the app’s History screen, on your device. They are left out of device backups. Delete any entry from the History list at any time.
Saving to a folder / Google Drive. In Settings → Save location, pick a folder once. Finished PDFs are copied there automatically using iOS’s file system. The folder’s own app (e.g. Google Drive) handles any cloud upload.
